At Zart,  every decision we make and has been strongly thought through with the goal of being both considerate of every single customer's needs as well the impact on our our environment.

All of our jewellery is hand finished according to the highest standard and our craftsman are certified to meet global standards in environmental management, social responsibility, and workplace safety.

We take our approach to being an ethical and sustainable brand and these are some of the ways.

CONSCIOUS CONSUMPTION

At Zart we are strong advocates for conscious consumption i.e. making smarter choices as consumers that can positively impact society at large as well as preserve the environment.

As a proponent for conscious consumption – we only use sustainable resources (e.g.  sterling silver or gold) that are higher quality and are designed to last.

We don't use brass or nickel because they tarnish quickly. We don't design anything to be worn a few times to only be discarded.

ETHICALLY SOURCED & HANDMADE

We also only use ethically sourced, conflict-free gemstones.

We also have a stringent policy for screening suppliers and only work with vendors and suppliers who share our values.

PACKAGING

Our packaging has been purposefully designed to increase longevity of each pieces as well limiting our carbon footprint and we will continue to work to improve our practices on all fronts.

Each piece of Zart jewellery comes in the following packaging:

1) Velvet pouch which is ideal for storing each piece.

2) A small cardboard  box that can be reused, or recycled.

3) A small cloth bag that is made from recycled plastic that is designed to be reused - it's perfect for storing your jewellery for when you go to the gym or beach.

It's also worth noting that from April 2020 (once the stock arrives) we will only use compostable 100% biodegradable padded mailer bags.

SHIPPING

We have chosen Sendle as our shipping partner as they ensure all deliveries are carbon neutral.

Sendle calculates the highest amount of carbon that could be generated by any given parcel send. This generates a carbon yield number. Using that number as a guide, we use each parcel contribution to fund sustainability projects via South Pole.
